SERDANG, March - The Nano Materials Synthesis and Characterization Laboratory (NSCL) of The Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION2) recently held a workshop on iSAMN2022 post-mortem at La'pprenti UPM on March 17, 2023. The workshop was well-attended by members of the iSAMN2022 Committee.
The objective of the iSAMN2022 Post-Mortem Workshop is to assess the efficacy of the organization of iSAMN2022, which took place online on December 7-8, 2022, via Zoom Application. The evaluation of the organizing process is of utmost significance as it helps identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement to enhance the quality of future iSAMN events.
The workshop commenced with a discussion on the effectiveness of organizing iSAMN2022, followed by a session focusing on the criterias for Scopus application requirements, which was considered crucial as it aligns with the management's aspirations to elevate the iSAMN Proceedings and have them indexed in Scopus. The workshop's final session was a training session on the usage of the EDAS System, delivered by Mr. Md Ali Rani, ION2 Science Officer. The EDAS System has been utilized since 2017 to facilitate the manuscript processing matters, including reviewing and manuscript decision making and emailing participants.
Several resolutions and recommendations have been formulated from this workshop, and it is hoped that it will help improve the effectiveness of holding the iSAMN in the future and facilitate the application process for indexing iSAMN proceedings in Scopus.
