SERDANG, 21 October 2025 – The Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION2), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of its researchers, associates, and collaborators who have been listed among the World’s Top 2% Most-Cited Scientists 2025, a prestigious global ranking published by Elsevier BV and curated by Stanford University.
This recognition highlights the significant global impact of ION2’s research community in advancing knowledge and innovation in nanoscience and nanotechnology.
For the Single Year 2025 category, a total of 13 ION2 researchers were ranked among 85 UPM researchers who earned their place for outstanding citation performance and influence in their respective fields. Meanwhile, under the Career-long Impact category, seven ION2 researchers were listed among 49 UPM researchers, acknowledging their consistent scholarly contributions and long-term impact on scientific advancement.
The inclusion of ION2 researchers in this esteemed global list underscores the institute’s dynamic research ecosystem, which thrives on collaboration, innovation, and interdisciplinary excellence.
