TURKIYE, February - The director of the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION2), Prof. Dr. Mohd Nizar Hamidon, accompanied UPM's Vice-Chancellor, YBhg. Dato' Prof. Dr. Mohd Roslan Sulaiman, on an official nine-day visit to Turkiye from January 31st to February 8th, 2023.
The delegation visited Bartin University, Karabuk University, Eskisehir Osmangazi University, and Yildiz Technical University.
The visit involved several notable activities, including the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UPM and Bartin University, and attending the 1st Future Literacy and Strategic Foresight Conference with UNESCO Chair (FLSF 2023) held at Karabuk University.
Additionally, the delegation, which also included the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Industry and Community Network), Prof. Ir. Dr. B.T. Hang Tuah Baharudin, visited ASELSAN; Turkiye's largest defense electronics company that produces technology related to software, defense, and electronics while in Ankara.
The director hopes that the visit will benefit all parties involved and pave the way for future research partnerships, especially with ION2.
