SERDANG, 18 July- The inaugural National Sensor Technology Forum 2023 convened at the TNCPI Office Building, Universiti Putra Malaysia, marking a collaborative effort between the Academy of Science Malaysia (ASM) and SENSOR Malaysia as the main organizer, alongside UPM and the IEEE Malaysia Sensors and Nanotechnology Joint Council Chapter (IEEE-SNJMC). The forum was inaugurated by the Chief Secretary of MOSTI, YBhg. Datuk Ts. Dr. Aminuddin Hassim.
Gathering academia from higher education institutions and industry experts, the National Sensor Technology Forum 2023 served as a platform for knowledge exchange and deeper insights into the ecosystem and applications of sensor technology within the country.
During the ceremony, YBhg. Datuk Aminuddin also witnessed the signing of a significant Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between the Malaysian Sensor Technology Development Association (SENSOR Malaysia) and Biogenes Technologies Sdn Bhd (Biogenes). The MoA outlines Biogenes' commitment to allocate RM50,000 annually for a three-year period to SENSOR Malaysia. This funding will facilitate various programs encompassing research, training, and participation in sensor technology-related conferences.
The Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION2), as a representative of UPM, expressed its pleasure in collaborating to organize such forums.
