If a staff member needs to leave the office for official or personal matters for no more than four (4) hours during working hours, the staff member is required to apply through Putra Asis System UPM and obtain approval from the relevant officer.

Requests for announcements, publicity, or information to be published on the ION2 website should be submitted to the ION2 Administration Office via the official email address dir.ion2@upm.edu.my. Requests should be submitted at least seven (7) working days before the intended publication date to allow sufficient time for review, preparation, and publication. Yes. ION2 accepts testing and characterization service requests from both internal and external parties, including universities, research institutions, government agencies, and industry, subject to the scope of services, equipment availability, and laboratory capacity. Applicants are required to complete the relevant service application form and submit samples according to the specified requirements.

Yes. ION2 offers industrial training opportunities to UPM students and students from other higher education institutions, subject to placement availability, relevance of the field of study, the requirements of the respective unit or laboratory, and approval by ION2.

Interested students are required to submit an official application letter from their institution, resume/CV, and relevant supporting documents to ION2 for consideration. Applications should be submitted in advance to allow ION2 to assess the suitability of the field of study, training duration, and placement availability. Students from other universities or higher education institutions are required to apply through their respective home institutions and obtain the necessary approvals before participating in a mobility programme at ION2. Participation is subject to the procedures, requirements, and approval of UPM and ION2. For mobility programmes involving formal collaboration agreements or official mobility programmes, students are required to comply with the procedures established by PUTRA International Centre (i-PUTRA), UPM and their home institution.
