This lecture will highlight recent advances in controllable paper-based microfluidic devices for analytical applications, particularly their role in point-of-care testing (POCT). The session will discuss fabrication techniques, strategies to control fluid flow, and the application of these devices for single- and multi-step biomarker detection. Current challenges and future development opportunities in paper-based microfluidic technologies will also be addressed.
