TURKIYE, 3rd December - Prof. Dr. Mohd Nizar Hamidon, Director of ION2 at UPM, was a distinguished representative and Invited Speaker for Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) at the recently concluded 8th International Scientific Conference on “Telecommunications, Informatics, Energy, and Management” (TIEM 2023). The conference, held from December 1st to 3rd, 2023, convened at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University in Bandırma, Turkey.

UPM received prestigious recognition as a key partner university, standing alongside Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University (Bandırma, Turkey), Bayburt University (Bayburt, Turkey), and the University of Telecommunications and Post (Sofia, Bulgaria). The collaboration culminated in the signing of a significant Memorandum of Understanding among the university heads, fostering future collaborations beyond the conference scope.

TIEM 2023 showcased a wide array of scholarly contributions, encompassing 5 invited papers and 90 regular papers, presented both in person and via online platforms. Noteworthy was UPM's substantial participation, presenting 11 papers exclusively through the conference's online platform.

Prof. Dr. Mohd Nizar Hamidon’s representation and UPM’s active engagement underscore the university's commitment to global academic collaboration and innovation.
