SERDANG, February 27 – The Postgraduate Committee, Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION2) has organized the ION2 Mock Viva program on 27 February 2024 at the ION2 Meeting Room. This Mock Viva program is an intervention program that aims to prepare PhD and Master students to face the Viva Voce, give students the opportunity to improve the thesis content based on verbal comments from the evaluator panel and to increase the number of PhD graduates graduating in 7 and 8 semesters. However, this time the program only focuses on PhD students in Semester 5 and 6 to help these students achieve graduate on time (IGOT) in Semester 7 and 8.

The panel for this Mock Viva program is made up of the Head of the Nanomaterials Processing and Technology Laboratory (NPTL) which is Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Siti Hajar Othman, and ION2 Research Officer, Dr. Ismayadi Ismail and Dr. Siti Zulaika Razali. The students were given 20 minutes to give a presentation and then continued with a question-and-answer session.

Through this program, students have given positive feedback and hope that this program can be continued in the future to prepare them for the Viva Voce and as well as to improve their thesis writing.
