SERDANG, December 2021 – A knowledge transfer program entitled Nano is Fun: Series 1 was successfully organized on 20th December 2021 via Zoom online. The program is a community network collaboration between the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION2) and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Desa Perdana, Kuala Lumpur.

The half-day program started at 10 am presenting Puan Juraina Md Yusof as the moderator and Associate Prof. Dr. Che Azurahanim Che Abdullah as the speaker with her presentation entitled Benefits of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. It was followed demonstrations on nanomaterial experiment conducted by ION2 graduate students, Cik Emmellie Laura Albert, En. Mhd Hazli Rosli and Cik Darshini Perumal. The demonstration explained the brine shrimp hatching assay as a simple and inexpensive bioassay used for testing the biocompatibility of nanoparticles.
