The Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION2), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), extends its heartfelt congratulations to ION2 staff members who received recognition at the Majlis Gemilang Putra 2026. The event was organised annually to recognise and appreciate UPM staffs for their excellence and valuable contributions towards the development and success of the university. The event was held at Dewan Besar, Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Arts and Cultural Centre (PKKSSAAS), UPM on 19 May 2026.

YBhg. Dato' Professor Ir. Dr. Ahmad Farhan Bin Mohd Sadullah presented the awards to six ION2 staff. For the Excellent Service Award 2025, the recipients were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yap Wing Fen, Dr. Ismayadi Ismail and Puan Norliyana Mahat. The award recognises staff who have demonstrated outstanding work performance, high commitment and excellence in carrying out their responsibilities.

Meanwhile, Encik Md Ali Rani and Encik Mohd Kadri Masaud received the Setia Putra Award in recognition of their loyalty and dedicated service throughout their 20 years of service to the university. In addition, Puan Juraina Md Yusof was awarded the Jasa Putra Award in recognition of her contributions and dedication throughout her service. For the record, Puan Juraina will retire in July 2026.

Congratulations to all recipients for this well-deserved recognition. The management of ION2 hope that these achievements will serve as an inspiration and motivation for all ION2 members to continue delivering high-quality, professional and integrity-driven services in strengthening the institute’s excellence in the future.
