SERDANG, 27 October 2023 - A webinar Malaysian Metal Organic Framework 2023 (MyMOF2023) was held successfully through platform Zoom online on 25^th October 2023. The event was organised by the Foundry of Reticular Materials for Sustainability (FORMS) laboratory, ION2. This webinar is organized in collaboration with several entities and organizations, including the Faculty of Science UPM, the Malaysian Analytical Sciences Society (ANALIS), the Malaysian Solid State Science and Technology Society (MASS), and the International Science, Technology and Innovation Centre (ISTIC)-UNESCO.

With the theme "The Chemistry and Applications of Reticular Materials", this webinar was moderated by Prof. ChM. Dr. Janet Lim Hong Ngee and the invited speaker was Kyle E. Cordova, from the Royal Scientific Society in Jordan. The webinar was attended by 27 paid participants and 10 invited participants from various fields, including industry, lecturers, researchers, and also students of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).

This is the fourth webinar in the MyMOF program series. The first MyMOF program series was organized in 2017 and has been physically organized in 2018 and 2022 for the second and third series. This webinar aims to increase participants' understanding of the concept and properties of MOFs, including their chemical structure, physical properties, and potential applications in various fields. In addition, this program also aims to be a platform for knowledge sharing by displaying various practical applications of MOF in science, industry, and technology.

At the end of the program, speaker Kyle E. Cardova thanked the organisers and participants and welcomed the cooperation of UPM researchers to produce potential research projects in the future. This shows determination to continue advancing research in the field of MOF.
