LabVIEW is a software development environment created by National Instruments (NI. www.ni.com). Most engineers and scientists can easily learn LabVIEW and complete the projects in a short time. Because LabVIEW’s structure is user-friendly. You can easily understand code in LabVIEW because of its graphical structure rather than lines of text and thus quickly find an error in the code. LabVIEW runs on Windows, OS X (Apple} and Linux platforms. It easily interfaces with many hardware items like data acquisition and test devices. It can be interfaced with CIC++, VB, Fortran etc. LabVIEW includes hundreds of examples. LabVIEW has support for NI hardware but also different buses and protocols for other equipment. LabVIEW is the best choice for instrumentation in your laboratory.
Introduction to LabVIEW expects you to have basic computer skills. If you have some programming experience with other languages (C, Java, Visual Basic, etc.), it helps you. If not, don’t worry; it is not necessary to know another programming language to create software in LabVIEW.
