Abstract Format

All extended abstract must be written in English. Only two (2) pages are required and formatted following the standard TEMPLATE single column format (A4 size). You can download the Extended Abstract Template here and submit the completed extended abstract here.

Poster Format

Besides oral presentation, the symposium also welcome presentation in the poster form. The poster presented is required to bring his/her own poster stand (roll up or X-stand type).  The requirement for the poster is as follows:

1. CMYK Colour
2. 1440 dpi (Adobe Illustrator/PhotoShop)
3. 80 cm (width) x 200 cm (height) (Roll Up) / 61 cm (w) x 183 cm (h) (X-Stand)
4. Righ and left margin = 4 cm
5. Up and bottom margin = 4 cm and 5 cm

Full Article Submission

iSAMN 2019 invites both the poster and oral participants to submit articles to be considered for publication in the "iSAMN 2019 special issues" in the International Journal of Nanotechnology (ISI indexed) or Journal of Solid State Science and Technology.

Articles submission can be performed after the symposium and the deadline for the submission will be announced by email to the participants.  The template for the articles can be found here (International Journal of Nanotechnology or here (Journal of Solid State Science and Technology).  The number of pages for the articles is between 5-10 pages using single-space formatting. 

The submitted articles must have been substantially revised, expanded and rewritten that it is singinicantly different from the conference paper or presentation that the articles are based on.  The author should aim to have more than 50% new material in the submitted articles.

Presentations

The modes of presentation can be divided into two categories: oral presentation and oral poster presentation. Please indicate your preference during registration.

Oral presentation

Oral presentation will be limited to 20 minutes in total (including 5-minutes Q&A session). Presentations must be performed using Power Point.

Oral poster presentation

Participants must present their poster.  Q & A sessions would be conducted at the participant’s poster.

The poster should describe:

1) Materials

2) The research problem and motivation for the work

3) Background and related work

4) Novelty of the research and research approach

5) Materials characterization

6) Potential Applications

The presentations will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

1) The presentation of the research, including visual aspects of the poster

2) The research, specifically its quality, novelty, and significance of the contribution

3) The presenter's verbal discussion via a short presentation of their research followed by a question and answer period, which will be evaluated by a panel of judges

The oral poster presenters will be awarded with the gold, silver or bronze medals and certificates.

The participants of iSAMN 2019 are invited to also participate in the iSAMN 2019 Post Workshop.
