SERDANG, 26 June 2026 – The Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION2) organised an Appreciation and Farewell Ceremony in honour of Puan Juraina Md. Yusof, who will officially retire from public service effective 2 July 2026 after more than 24 years of dedicated service.
The ceremony, held at 4.00 p.m. at the Seminar Hall, Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION2), was attended by members of the institute to express their gratitude and appreciation for her invaluable contributions, commitment, and dedication throughout her years of service.
Puan Juraina began her career in public service on 11 February 2002 when she was appointed as a Science Officer (C41). Through her dedication and professionalism, she was subsequently appointed as a Research Officer (Q41) on 25 August 2008.

In recognition of her outstanding service and contributions, she was promoted from Research Officer Q41 to Research Officer Q44 on 1 August 2016. Throughout her career spanning more than two decades, she played an important role in supporting research development and contributing to the excellence of the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.
The ceremony served not only as a token of appreciation for her years of service and commitment but also as an opportunity for colleagues and friends to reflect on the memorable moments and experiences shared throughout her journey at ION2.
The entire ION2 community extends its heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to Puan Juraina Md. Yusof for her invaluable service, dedication, and contributions, and wishes her good health, happiness, and fulfilment in this new chapter of life following her retirement.
