SERDANG, March 8 - Electrospinning Workshop Series 1 was successfully held virtually by the Nano Materials Processing and Technology Laboratory (NPTL), Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), in collaboration with Progene Link Sdn. Bhd. via the Zoom platform.
The organizer invited three speakers from industry and UPM to present their insights and experiences in electrospinning technology. Dr Teng Wan Dung from SIRIM Berhad (Industrial Center of Innovation in Nanotechnology) shared his talk entitled "An Introduction of Electrospinning Technology and its Potential Applications" while Ms. Christine Ng from Adastra IP (M) Sdn. Bhd. presented regarding intellectual properties entitled "IP-IT Makes $ense".
Meanwhile, Dr. Norizah Abdul Rahman (an associate researcher of NPTL, UPM) shared her interesting research works related to electrospinning technology. Her talk was entitled "Electrospun Nanofiber Mats for Biomedical and Environmental Applications".
A total of 72 participants from UPM and other institutions attended this workshop. It is hoped that the workshop will be beneficial and able to spread knowledge related to the use of electrospinning in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology to researchers.
