TURKIYE, 3rd December - Prof. Dr. Mohd Nizar Hamidon, the Director of the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION2) at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), was a distinguished representative and invited speaker at the recently concluded 8th International Scientific Conference on “Telecommunications, Informatics, Energy, and Management” (TIEM 2023). The conference, held from December 1st to 3rd, 2023, took place at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University in Bandırma, Turkey.

UPM is proud to be a key partner university, standing alongside Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University (Bandırma, Turkey), Bayburt University (Bayburt, Turkey), and the University of Telecommunications and Post (Sofia, Bulgaria). This collaboration culminated in the signing of a significant Memorandum of Understanding session among the university representatives, fostering future collaborations beyond the conference scope. The MoU is expected to enhance academic and research exchanges, joint projects, and other collaborative efforts among these institutions.

TIEM 2023 showcased a wide array of scholarly contributions, including five invited papers and 90 regular papers, presented both in person and via online platforms. Noteworthy was UPM's substantial participation, with 11 papers presented exclusively through the conference's online platform.

Prof. Dr. Mohd Nizar Hamidon’s representation and UPM’s active engagement underscore the university's commitment to global academic collaboration and innovation.
