SERDANG, May 21 - The Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION2) hosted the Director's 100-Day Message Ceremony, attended by ION2's top management, associate researchers, and staff members.

The director, YBhg. Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Suraya Abdul Rashid, reflected on her eight-year journey and accomplishments with the Institute of Advanced Technology (ITMA) and ION2 before her appointment as director on February 1, 2024. She outlined the strategic research direction framework and detailed the current organizational structure of ION2, setting a clear path for the institute's future.

Prof. Suraya also took the opportunity to express her gratitude to all ION2 researchers and staff, urging them to maintain their dedication to propel ION2 forward in alignment with UPM's mission and vision.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of the "Outstanding Researchers of 2023" awards to two exemplary ION2 researchers:

• Prof. Chm. Dr. Janet Lim Hong Ngee
• Dr. Josephine Liew Ying Chyi

Both outstanding researchers were honored with incentives and certificates of appreciation. Congratulations to Prof. Dr. Janet Lim Hong Ngee and Dr. Josephine Liew Ying Chyi on their well-deserved recognition!
