SERDANG, 21 February – The Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION2) participated in the Cultural Arts and Heritage Quiz Competition (SEBUDI 1) organized by the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Cultural and Arts Center (PKKSSAAS) on 21-22 February 2023. The program aimed to strengthen knowledge and understanding of cultural arts and heritage, based on three main pillars: ethics, procedures, and intellectual level, in addition to practicing pure values.

The two-day quiz competition was open to all PTJs at UPM, with ION2 represented by Puan Rosiha Abdul Razak, Ms. Khariza Abdul Wahab, and Mr. Muhammad Fikrul Hasani Che Musa. ION2 successfully passed the first screening, involving a Kahoot quiz and a written test.

In the semi-final round, participants were tested on questions related to Customs and Culture, Artistic Connections, Artistic Vibrancy and Performance, Heritage Trail, and Heritage Taste. ION2 demonstrated an outstanding performance, although it did not advance to the final round.

ION2 was recognized as the best PTJ for the Kahoot segment, an achievement to be proud of. Participation in SEBUDI 1 reflects ION2's spirit of struggle and dedication towards the preservation and appreciation of Malaysian cultural arts and heritage. It is hoped that this effort will continue to ensure that the knowledge and heritage of cultural arts can be passed on to future generations, ensuring that Malaysia's cultural heritage remains alive and valued.
