BANGI, October 2023 - ION2 was pleased to participate in the Industrial and Nanotechnology Technical Exhibition for the third time. We received an invitation from the National Nanotechnology Center (NNC) to join the National Nano Program (NanoKEB) 2023, an annual event that has been running since 2015 and is organized by NNC under the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI).

NanoKEB 2023, which took place from October 9 to 12, brought together individuals from the nanotechnology industry and organizations involved in nanotech in Malaysia. The primary purpose was to facilitate knowledge sharing, discuss the progress of nanotechnology in the country, explore the future of the field, and encourage active participation in research and development.

Additionally, the event served as a platform for raising awareness about the diverse aspects of nanotechnology, with a specific focus on reaching out to the public, especially university and school students, who represent the future innovators and technology leaders.

The opening ceremony of NanoKEB 2023, held on October 10, 2023, was graced by the presence of YBhg. Datuk Arthur Joseph Kurup, Deputy Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, who presided over the event. The ceremony held significance as it included the launch of the Nanosafety Reference System (NRS), the introduction of the Nanotechnology Laboratory Network Portal (RMNK) 2.0, and the presentation of awards for the National Level Nanotechnology Innovation Research Project Competition (PIN) 2023.

Following the inaugural ceremony, Deputy Minister Datuk Arthur Joseph Kurup visited the ION2 exhibition and expressed interest in our showcase, recognizing the valuable contributions made by ION2 in the field of nanotechnology research and development.

ION2's third participation at NanoKEB reflects our commitment to advancing the realms of nanoscience and nanotechnology. We extend our sincere appreciation to NNC for their invitation and continued support in promoting nanotechnology in Malaysia. We eagerly anticipate further collaborations and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in this dynamic field.
