ION2 Seminar International Guest Lecture Series IX

SERDANG, 10 January 2023 - ION2 Seminar International Guest Lecture Series IX entitled " Thin Films and Nanotechnology: Shaping the Future" was held successfully at the Seminar Hall, Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION2), Universiti Putra Malaysia. The program was organized by the Nano Material Synthesis & Material Characterization Laboratory (NSCL), ION2. The program was led by Prof. Prof. Dr. Che Azurahanim binti Che Abdullah as the program leader and Moderator of the session. The speaker was Dr. Tahta Amrillah, from Faculty of Advanced Technology and Multidiscipline, Airlangga University, Indonesia.

Thin films and nanotechnology are driving innovation and creating new opportunities in a wide range of fields, from electronics and energy to healthcare and manufacturing. As these technologies continue to evolve, they are likely to play an increasingly important role in shaping the future.

The purpose of the seminar on thin films and nanotechnology was to educate attendees on the current state of these technologies, their applications in various fields, and their potential for future development. The seminar also discussed the challenges and opportunities related to thin films and nanotechnology and explore ways to further advance these technologies for societal benefit.

The seminar program was also providing a platform for speaker to share his research related to the characterization of nanomaterials. The purpose of this session was to improve the understanding of the properties of nanomaterials and how they can be optimized for various applications. Attendees may learn about the latest research findings and techniques in this area and can engage with expert in the field directly. In addition, this seminar could help participants understand more in advanced development and application of nanotechnology in various fields in future.

As shared by speaker, thin films and nanotechnology are playing an increasingly important role in shaping the future. They are revolutionizing a wide range of fields, including electronics, energy, biomedicine, environmental monitoring, and manufacturing. These technologies are enabling the development of smaller, more powerful, and more efficient electronic devices, as well as new energy sources and better batteries. They are also being used in biomedical applications to target cancer cells, deliver drugs, and regenerate tissue. In addition, thin films and nanotechnology are driving innovation in environmental monitoring and manufacturing processes. As these technologies continue to evolve, they are likely to create new opportunities and transform various industries for societal benefit.
