SERDANG, September 2025 – The Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION2) recently welcomed a delegation from the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Brawijaya, Indonesia, for an academic visit held from 22 to 25 September 2025. The delegation comprised two lecturers, Dr. Feni Istikharoh and Dr. Sinta Chandra Wardani, together with two accompanying students.
Throughout the four-day programme, the participants explored and utilised ION2’s advanced research facilities. They conducted sample testing using state-of-the-art instruments such as the Nanosizer, Raman Spectroscopy, Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM), BET Analyzer, and Rheometer. In addition, they engaged in meaningful academic discussions with their mentors, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Che Azurahanim Che Abdullah and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mas Jaffri Masarudin, focusing on scientific applications, data interpretation, and potential future collaborations.

The visit concluded with a courtesy meeting with the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Brawijaya, Dr. Yuanita Lely Rachmawati, alongside other representatives. ION2 was represented by its Director, Prof. Dr. Suraya Abdul Rashid, who shared an overview of ION2’s research expertise, collaborative initiatives, and strategic vision.
This visit marked another milestone in the ongoing collaboration between ION2 and Universitas Brawijaya, a partnership that has been nurtured over the past few years. The continued engagements underscore the institutions’ shared commitment to impactful research, academic excellence, and the advancement of scientific knowledge.
