SERDANG, November 3, 2023 - The Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION2) at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) recently hosted a webinar in collaboration with Oxford Instrument-Witec and Aseptec Sdn Bhd. The webinar, titled "Revealing More with Confocal Raman Microscopy: From 2D Materials, Polymers, and Semiconductors to Live Cells," was conducted via the GoToWebinar platform. It attracted approximately 40 participants from Malaysia and abroad, including various universities and institutions.

Mr. Shawn Lee, Application Manager at Oxford Instrument-Witec, served as the speaker, sharing his expertise on the subject. Ms. Nurnazeera Zulkefli, Science Officer and Raman Operator at ION2, served as the session's moderator.

This free webinar provided an informative exploration of the applications of Confocal Raman Microscopy, offering insights into its use in diverse fields, including the analysis of 2D materials, polymers, semiconductors, and live cells. The question-and-answer segment received a warm welcome, with participants actively engaging with the topic and asking various questions for clarification.

The event aimed to stimulate interest and promote a broader understanding of Raman Microscopy among attendees. It is hoped that this initiative will generate new enthusiasm for the technology, thereby contributing to developments in research and related scientific analysis.
