SERDANG, 15 August 2025 – The Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION2), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), successfully hosted an informative online session on the UPM Mobility Initiative, aimed at strengthening awareness and participation in international academic opportunities.

The programme was designed to provide the latest updates on mobility guidelines, funding avenues, and application procedures, while motivating students and staff to broaden their global outlook through study, training, and research abroad. The event reflects UPM’s continued effort to nurture graduates and staff who are internationally engaged and competitive.

The session was moderated by Ts. Dr. Mohd Hafizuddin Ab Ghani, Mobility Coordinator at ION2, and featured a keynote presentation by Mr. Muhammad Syafiq Farhan Boo Omar Boo, Head of the Mobility Section, International Centre (i-PUTRA), UPM. His comprehensive and practical sharing on mobility programmes received positive feedback from the participants, who appreciated the clarity of his explanation on current regulations, financial support schemes, and application processes.

The interactive question-and-answer segment further enriched the discussion, allowing students and mobility coordinators to raise specific queries and gain a deeper understanding of available opportunities.

The success of this session highlights ION2’s proactive role in supporting the university’s mobility agenda, while fostering a globally minded academic community prepared to embrace international exposure.
