SERDANG, May - A seminar titled "Particle Size Analyzer & Characterization of Nanoparticle Products with Microtrac" was held at the ION2 Seminar Hall recently. Organized by Interscience Sdn Bhd in collaboration with the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION2), the event featured Paul Cloake, the Global Sales Director of MICROTRAC, as the speaker.

Paul Cloake delivered an in-depth theoretical presentation on particle size analysis, highlighting the superior capabilities of MICROTRAC's particle size measuring instruments in the nanotechnology industry. MICROTRAC's instruments are renowned for their ability to measure particle sizes ranging from 0.3 nm to 300 microns. They offer multi-functional analysis, utilize laser diffraction and dynamic imaging technology, and feature an intuitive user interface.

Particle size analysis is crucial in nanomaterials research as it directly impacts the properties and behavior of materials at the nanoscale. Accurate particle size measurement ensures the consistency, quality, and performance of nanomaterials, which is essential for advancements in various applications, including medicine, electronics, and materials science.

The seminar also included a hands-on practical session for 20 participants, allowing them to directly apply the instruments and enhance their understanding of the latest particle analysis technology. Participants provided positive feedback, noting that "the presentation was very fruitful, and the equipment was advanced." This practical knowledge is essential for ensuring product quality in nanotechnology and materials science.
