SERDANG, March - Nanomaterials Synthesis and Characterization Laboratory (NSCL), Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION2) hosted an online workshop called Surface Area and Particle Size distribution 4.0 (SAPSiD 4.0) on March 21, 2023, using the Google Meet application.

In collaboration with Kromtek Sdn Bhd and DKSH Technology Sdn Bhd, the workshop focused on the theory of surface area and particle size distribution, as well as its practical applications in the industry.

The workshop featured three invited speakers who delivered talks on various topics. Prof. Dr. Mohd Zobir Hussein, an ION2 Research Fellow, gave a lecture on Surface Area Theory. Mr. CM Chan, a representative from Kromtek Sdn Bhd, spoke about BET Analysis-Industry Applications, and Ms. Ashwathi Nambiar, a representative from DKSH Technology Sdn Bhd, presented on Particle Sizing Using Malvern Zetasizer.

The workshop attracted 56 participants from both inside and outside UPM, including one international participant, who provided positive feedback on the workshop's organization.

The organizers thanked all the participants who attended the workshop, hoping they found it informative and valuable. They also expressed their appreciation to the industry collaboration partners, Kromtek Sdn Bhd and DKSH Technologies Sdn Bhd, for their support and look forward to continuing the collaboration.
