SERDANG, 10 October 2024 – The workshop "Exploring Nanocatalyst Synthesis & Characterisation," which was organised following the 8^th International Symposium on Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology (iSAMN2024), was successfully held on 10 October 2024 at the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Universiti Putra Malaysia. The workshop was designed especially to give exposure to participants regarding synthesis techniques and nanocatalyst characterisation analysis.

This workshop has attracted the participation of eight participants from Universiti Putra Malaysia, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, as well as two international participants from Kaduna State University, Nigeria. Most participants expressed excitement with the interactive approach applied throughout the session, which provided a direct and meaningful learning experience.

This session was conducted by two experts in the field of nanotechnology: Prof. Dr. Chawalit Ngamcharussrivichai, an Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION2) from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, and Ts. Dr. Umer Rashid, ION2 Research Fellow, UPM. They have successfully guided participants through challenging topics but presented in an interesting and easy-to-understand manner.

Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing keen interest in the hands-on experience provided, comprehensive exposure to nanocatalytic technology, and the interactive and engaging lecture approach. One of the participants stated, "Everything was very interesting," describing their satisfaction with the workshop. Participants also praised the dedication of the facilitators and organizers, who ensure that each session runs smoothly and is beneficial.

With this encouraging achievement, the "Exploring Nanocatalyst Synthesis & Characterisation" workshop has succeeded in drawing another important success in ION2's mission to become a leader in the field of nanotechnology at the global level.
