Potentiostat in Electrochemistry Webinar

SERDANG, May 2023 – A webinar entitled Potentiostat in Electrochemistry – “Electrochemistry and beyond: ex-situ/in-situ solutions for your energy storage, corrosion, and sensor applications” was held 0n Wednesday, 17 May 2023. The webinar started at 10.00 am and lasted for 2 hours was organized by Nanotechnology Processing and Technology laboratory (NPTL), ION2 and broadcasted on Google Meet platform.

A potentiostat is a control and measuring device that used in an electrochemical cell, keeps the potential of one (working) electrode at a constant level with respect to the reference electrode.  It is used both in fundamental and applied research to gain an increased understanding of electrode processes, analytical chemistry, battery research, and corrosion research.

The course was delivered by Dr. Alice Eh Lee Sie, a Product Manager from Metrohm Regional Support Centre based in Singapore. A total of 21 participants consisted of students and researchers from UPM and outside UPM attended the webinar. It is our sincere hope that this webinar could help students and researchers to get the maximum impact for their research by using potentiostat.
