SERDANG, 9 May 2023 – An introduction on Response Surface Methodology (RSM) series 1/2023 course was held 0n 9 May 2023. The webinar was organized by Nanotechnology Processing and Technology laboratory (NPTL), ION2 and broadcasted on Google Meet platform. RSM is a technique incorporating both mathematical and statistical concept to develop empirical model, improve and optimize process parameters, and to identify interactions among key factors in experiment.

This approach is widely used in experimental development for process optimization of nanotechnology research. Participants were given insight into the RSM concept, planning and DOE, analysis, type of visualization and output validation.

The course was delivered by a Senior Lecturer from Faculty of Engineering, UPM, Dr. Mohd Salahuddin Mohd Basri. He has a over 10 years’ experience in teaching and conducting RSM. A total of 60 participants consisted of students and researchers from UPM and outside UPM attended the course. NPTL will organize RSM series 2/2023 that will be held physically and practically soon.
