Unlock Your Global Potential: Explore Mobility Program Inbound & Outbound Opportunities

SERDANG, 23rd May 2023 - An Online Inbound and Outbound Mobility Program Briefing has been successfully organized by the ION2’s Graduate Club under the supervision of the institute's Graduate Studies Committee in collaboration with the International Center Office (i-PUTRA), UPM. The program was led by Ms. Emmelie Laura Albert as Program Chairman who is a member of the ION2’s Graduate Club and a Doctor of Philosophy candidate.

The Mobility Briefing was open to all UPM community including undergraduates, postgraduates, researchers, staff, and lecturers. The briefing is particularly useful for UPM undergraduate and postgraduate students because this program also includes a slot for sharing experiences by alumni who have attended the mobility programs abroad. Participants who are interested in joining the mobility program will be able to master interpersonal skills and can adapt to a new culture outside the lecture room through the experiences that will be gained throughout the program.

The ability to assimilate with the local culture and environment is very helpful for all because it can be applied anywhere and anytime after graduation after successfully completing studies. This gives an advantage to the students because they can easily be adopted with the world of work and also can be applied in organizations locally or abroad. Therefore, the main objective of the program organized by the Graduate Club, ION2 is to share information related to the application which was been presented by the representative of the Putra International Center (i-PUTRA), Nadia Zawani Hussin.

This briefing session also involved three (3) invited panelists represented by students who had joined mobility programs abroad, namely, Emmelie Laura Albert, went to Synchrotron Light Research Institute (SLRI), Thailand, Nur Khalida Zainon (Shanghai Open University, China) and Sharifah Nurfadhlin Afifah Syed Azhar (Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan). All the three panelists had shared their experiences and the advantages of the mobility program that they had participated in. In addition, participants also had the opportunity to ask mobility-related questions to the all the speakers.
