SERDANG, April 30 – Zebrafish Workshop 2019: Zebrafish as Model System for Nanotoxicology was successfully held at the Materials Processing and Technology Laboratory (MPTL). This workshop was organized by Danio Assay Laboratories Sdn Bhd in collaboration with Institute of Advanced Technology (ITMA) and officiated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Janet Lim Hong Ngee, the Head of Materials Synthesis and Characterization Laboratory (MSCL).

 This program began with the lecture session presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Syahida Ahmad from UPM and continued with the practical sessions. The practical sessions were divided into six such as handling zebrafish embryo, survival rate and LC₃₀ measurement, scoliosis determination and heart rate measurement. Participants were assisted by two facilitators. About 26 participants attended this workshop involving students and staff from several other faculties and external institutions. The workshop ends up with giving certificate to all participants and discussion session during the refreshment.
