The nanotechnology field of study is designed to prepare students with knowledge related to nanotechnology, which deals with developing start-of-art materials, devices, or other structures with at least one dimension sized from 1 to 100 nanometers. Nanotechnology harnesses the power of nanoscience to produce revolutionary nanomaterials and nanoscale components with limitless applications. It enables the creation of tailor-made materials with exceptional properties. Furthermore, nanotechnology can facilitate the establishment of interfaces between electronic and biological systems. Nanotechnology entails the application of fields of science as diverse as surface science, organic chemistry, molecular biology, semiconductor physics, and microfabrication. Some typical
nanotechnology applications are in sensors, delivery systems, 'smart' medicines, nanoabsorbents, nanoelectronics, nanomachines, active and intelligent packaging, and others.
